About The Globe

Allow me to replace your 10" or 12" plain glass globe on your antique pole with my piece of art! 

The Barbershop Globe is made of Kokomo and Wissmach stained glass. Each individual piece is slumped in the kiln to give it the curved shape. After which, all pieces are foiled by hand and soldered together to give its final shape. Much of the process is similar to the construction techniques employed in the stained glass Tiffany lamps.

The globe measures approximately 11 inches diameter and 32 inches around.

The globe is made with either a 4 inch solid brass fitter ring or a tall 6 inch brass coated  ring which fits most antique barber poles.

This design took me two years to figure the pattern. Many long hours of trial and error took place in order to get it just right. 

As an artist with integrity, I will honor the original creator of the globe by never recreating his design. Therefore, I painstakingly created my own unique design worthy of the antique pole.
